Matcha Latte
Matcha is my go to lately. Green tea has so many good health benefits. I am a coffee lover at heart, but matcha is such a gradual dose of caffeine! Less jitters and not such a spike of energy that coffee gives you, which I find better when life already has enough going on! There are many ways to make a matcha latte, this is the blender/vitamix version. I also have a matcha whisk and enjoy making it the more traditional way too. I love the earthy taste of matcha unsweetened, but if you like it sweeter feel free to add some maple syrup or the coconut sugar option below. Enjoy xx
INGREDIENTS
Boiling water
1 tsp of coconut butter
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup almond milk
1/2 tsp matcha powder
dash of cinnamon
Optional:
1/4 tsp hemp seeds
1/2 tsp maca powder
pinch of coconut sugar
DIRECTIONS
Bring water to a boil
Add 1 cup boiling water to a blender with coconut butter, vanilla extract, almond milk, and cinnamon. (if you choose add hemp seeds, and any additional sweeteners like coconut sugar at this time)
Blend on medium and then add in matcha powder (and maca powder if you wish)
Blend on high to get that foam going, and add more hot water for a larger quantity.
